Library Board of Trustees

The Library Board represents the Longview Public Library both to the people of Longview and to the governing officials. It is the trustee's obligation to:
-- See that the funds obtained are utilized to promote good library service
-- Advocate for the library and promote the best possible use of all library resources in the area
-- Improve the existing library and extend library service to those not previously served

Continuing to provide strong, effective, and community-orientated library services to its citizens is an ongoing goal of the Library Board of Trustees.

Members must be City of Longview residents; up to two members may reside in the Cowlitz County Mini Partial Rural Library District.

Meetings: Second Monday of each month at 4:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers.
